Call Out for Performers
The Absolute Truth About Absolutely Everything by Olly Hawes
Guest Performer Wanted - Paid Opportunity
The Absolute Truth About Absolutely Everything by Olly Hawes is a show about the consequences of patriarchy, and features a different female performer each night.
We're looking for a female performer for the performance at ARC, in Stockton on Wed 7 Feb 2018.
Performers will read lines, follow stage directions and do a little bit of improvisation. Performers should have excellent sight reading skills, who are happy to play and will courageously embrace the un-predictableness of live performance.
A message from Olly:
“I created the show in collaboration with over thirty other brilliant makers. It was developed at Arcola and Camden People’s Theatre in 2016, and is now on tour.
The play explores the ethics and politics of a woman performing a show written by a male writer, and contains some explicit content that some people may find uncomfortable. Each performer will receive a full briefing with me before the show, and a debrief after, and performers are free to decide not to read or perform any section of the script. There will be an opportunity for a further discussion of this before you commit to performing in the show.”
If you’re interested, or know people who might be, please contact the show’s producer via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
