Thanks to weekly walks with his grandfather and his dogs, and trips out to the countryside with his parents, Michael has always loved being outdoors, especially being out in the countryside or by the sea.

These days Michael mixes his love of the outdoors with a love of photography, and strives to capture the beauty that surrounds us in the North East.

Photography means something quite specific to Michael, and that is one frame capturing a scene authentically. It means not adding or removing anything and it means not merging several photographs into one. Photography is all about capturing magic moments as they really are and that is what Michael strives to do in his work.

“I am very happy to have the opportunity to display a selection of my work here at ARC, and I hope you will want to take a little of the beauty of our countryside and coast home with you.”
