Rowan McCabe presents
Door-to-Door Poetry (Preview)
What do you think would happen if you knocked on a stranger's door and offered to write them a poem?
Two years ago Rowan McCabe became the world's first Door-to-Door Poet. Through a funny and thought-provoking mix of spoken word and theatre, find out about the people he met on his journey around the North East of England; from the most expensive houses in the region, to a mosque in Newcastle; from a council estate in Stockton, to his appearance on BBC Breakfast.
About community and loneliness, at the heart of it all lies a simple, yet vital question: Can we trust strangers?
Written and performed by Rowan McCabe
Directed by Peader Kirk
Supported by Northern Stage, ARC Stockton, Sunderland Culture, Cultural Spring, New Writing North, Apples and Snakes and Arts Council England.
This performance is priced on a Pay What You Decide basis, which means that tickets are available to book in advance as usual, but there is no obligation for you to pay until after you have seen the show.
