Make Your Own Patch Work

Using upcycled fabrics, Betty will show you how to make a basic patchwork panel. Come along to use bright colours and patterns, and we'll be work on your hand stitching techniques using squares.

This workshop is a lot of fun & not pressurised, it's aimed at people of all abilities - you will be able to make something lovely even if you've never held a needle before! But beware, it might get you hooked on patchwork!

Betty, the session leader will bring all the fabric, and will have sewing kit we can lend you, but if you have needles, pins, scissors & thread please bring them along. Trained in Fine Arts at Chelsea and Camberwell Art School in the 1980’s, Betty is a practicing artist and arts facilitator. Betty gets excited about seeing workshop participants realise their potential to craft and make beautiful things. Her enthusiasm for crafts is infectious, and she loves supporting people to be creative. Betty’s favourite thing is finishing a new piece - it really is the best feeling!
