Ten Feet Tall
Catch 22: MC Jason Cook with Milo McCabe & Steve Shanyaski
Jason Cook is back to host the March edition of Teesside’s most popular comedy club, with another killer line-up in tow.
Not only is Jason one of the best MCs this side of anywhere, he’s also a very successful TV writer. His latest star-studded comedy ‘whodunnit’ Murder on the Blackpool Express with Johnny Vegas and Car Pool’s Sian Gibson became the highest-rated show ever to air on Gold. Well, we’d expect nothing less!
The charismatic Steve Shankyaski made it through to the semi-finals of the BBC New Comedian of the Year just six months after starting his comedy career. Since then, his surreal but highly relatable observations have earned him titles like the Holsten Pils Comedian of the Year and the Birmingham Comedy Festival’s Best. He’s a long established comedy club headliner, regularly closing at top comedy clubs including Jongleurs, The Glee Club, The Frog and Bucket and Catch 22 – obviously!
‘…his off kilter set pieces have audiences fully immersed in ‘Stevie World’ as he leads them, Pied-Piper-like, down the charming avenues of his inner mind.’ Chortle
TV presenter, actor and stand-up character comedian Milo McCabe has been nominated for the Amused Moose Best Edinburgh show award, not once, but twice. He’s also been listed as GQ's Top Ten shows of the festival in previous years. In 2016 – his Edinburgh Fringe show, as character Troy Hawke, garnered a number of 4 star reviews. You might have seen him on ITV's Benidorm or BBC3's Live at the Electric to name a few.
