The Staying Out project provides people aged 65+ who have been identified as being socially isolated in their community, or who have recently been discharged from hospital, with creative and friendly sessions arts and crafts based sessions.
ARC work closely with local voluntary and statutory organisations to identify isolated older people who may benefit from support at the point they are discharged from hospital to help them ‘get back on their feet’.
During the classes there is a relaxed vibe, and participants can either choose to take part in some relaxing arts and crafts activities, or they can choose to sit back and chat over a cup of tea.
We have received incredible feedback from participants who have also been given the opportunity to get involved with a range of exciting projects each week, such as the 'eggshibition' at Preston Park.
You can stay the whole duration or just pop in for however long you wish.
Participants must be reffered from their GP to attend these sessions. To find out more, contact the Box Office on 01642 525199.
