The figurative artist must take great responsibility for their work and understand that their images do not exist in isolation, separate from the world.  Thrown into the world of human consciousness, their work is ever subject to analysis and interpretation in the on-going pursuit to retrieve meaning.  Marshall believes that art should tell us about the nature of ourselves, and our psychological and social complexities.  Ultimately, the work in Dymaxion 3 follows this agenda where the work is bound by a whole host of personal and other literary inspirations.  Surreal narratives arise, which ultimately, offer a comment on the human condition.
