Silver Creative Writing
Have you ever wanted to write stories or poems from your own experience and imagination? Then Silver Creative Writing is for you.
Each session we provide a writing prompt to stimulate your imagination and get you writing in a way that you never thought you could.
We offer guidance and teaching in your first steps in writing, in a warm supportive atmosphere. If you have some experience we provide helpful hints and feedback that will develop your work.
Our group meets every two weeks on a Thursday morning 10 am -12 noon.
The group is led by tutor, Joan Opie, a graduate of Newcastle University's Creative Writing PGC Course. She has written a phonics and writing book for children aged 7-11 years old, and has written a large amount of material for use by adult literacy tutors. In addition, she has published articles on beauty therapy and education, and has had poems published in the UK and USA.
Looking for a lovely cuppa after your weekly session?
We have plenty of space at No 60 for you to pop your feet up and recharge those creative batteries over a cuppa after your creative writing session. Choose from a delicious selection of coffees and speciality teas, not to mention a truly delectable range of, cakes, scones and other snacks.
You can reserve a table by contacting the No 60 team via firstname.lastname@example.org now.
