Join ‘wildcat’ Mike McGrother on Friday afternoon for Joe’s Speakeasy where stories are reinterpreted into songs and enjoyed by old and young alike in an atmosphere of laughter and friendship.

With an inevitable sing-along, Mike and his regulars invite you to tell your stories of The Globe and Stockton’s other dance halls and venues of days gone by. All are welcome but children must be accompanied by an adult.

For those who would like to, the event will conclude with Mike conducting a 60 minute musical guided walk to share more stories of Stockton’s night life at the very places where the town used to dance and sing! The latest in his Tall Tales from a Wide Street sponsored by Stockton’s BID, hear history come to life in song courtesy of our very own Wild Rover and a few surprise guests. The walk will leaves the High Street Marquee at 3.45pm prompt. We will end up – with a sing-a-long (Hippodrome style) in ARC’s No. 60 cafe bar at around 4.30pm.
