Black, Queer & Done is an independent feature film exploring the experiences and representation of Black LGBT+ people within the arts, culture, and media sectors.

Queer artists and culture professionals from the UK, US, and Africa were interviewed through online focus groups. Using insights gathered from the focus groups, three themes were created, with eight Black, Queer artists invited to respond through their practice: My Queer Me, In-Between-Ness & It’s Giving Thanks.

Black, Queer & Done is Director Nyasha Daley’s debut; her first ever feature film was written, filmed, edited, directed, produced, and premiered with just a £15,000 budget/funding from Arts Council England. Nyasha will take part in a live interview and audience Q&A after the screening to discuss how she is bringing the project to life and her hopes for the elimination of prejudice in the creative industry in the future.
