Co-creation isn’t just putting a workshop on. It’s about power, trust, care and complexity – and most of all, people.

This session is a chance to get stuck into what co-creation and co-production really mean in practice – especially for artists, communities and organisations working across Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland.

Led by Chloe Lawrence (ARC Stockton), we’ll explore practical models, ask some honest questions about what works and what doesn’t, and reflect on how to support this kind of work better – from both sides.

This is a space to talk, listen and figure things out together – including the messy bits that don’t fit in funding applications.

Perfect if you’re curious about co-creation, already doing bits of it, or just want to think more deeply about how we work with people, not just for them.

Location: Redcar Civic Centre – Committee Room, Ridley Street, Redcar TS10 1TD.

This event is part of the wider Borderlands training programme of activity to support the Communities of Possibility commissions. This session is for artists, producers, community workers and anyone supporting public-facing creative activity across Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland.
