What makes a man? Is masculinity in crisis? How are men adapting to the changes in modern lifestyle, work, relationships and leisure?

Man-Kind is a multi-media performance which brings Bishop Auckland writer Alison Carr’s richly woven words to life with poetry, projections, music and movement. It explores the changing ideas of masculinity throughout history from the Big Bang and the Garden of Eden through to a night out in a North East nightclub and PlayStations.

Funny and sensitive in parts, sad in others, Man-Kind will make you think about what has shaped society and just how the world has changed.
