Sheila Plews has been teaching ceramics for over 30 years and now, due to the success of The Great British Pottery Throw-Down, we’re bringing her over from her studio in Darlington to teach a ceramics workshop here at ARC.

In the workshop, you’ll work towards creating a make a tea light holder out of clay. Sheila will teach how to use the basic tools, and support you to create your very own masterpiece!

This workshop will be messy – so we recommended wearing old clothes and a washable apron! All materials are included.

Sheila is a ceramicist teacher at Risedale Sports & Community College as well as leading her own classes at The Bridge in Darlington.  She was part of a huge project that saw Risedale College’s courtyard filled with a sea of red poppies in aid of the Royal British Legion in 2015, Yorkshire’s answer to the Royal British Legion
