Our regular ARCADE Scratch: New Writing returns this February, bringing you an evening of work-in-progress sharings of new short plays.

The event offers a fantastic chance to get a first look at some exciting new work, and to help influence its development.

Following the performances you will be invited to feedback, a crucial element of our Scratch Nights, helping artists to develop their work with audiences in mind.

The New Writing Scratch Night is performed and directed by MA Theatre and Performance students (and friends) from Northumbria University, Newcastle. The group are thrilled to be working at ARC on such exciting new scripts.

Pieces performed will include:

Raze by Tony Scandrett
Any Given Time by Gemma Murray
The Morning After by Finlay Worallo
A Story about Time Travel by Ryan Leder
Saluting Magpies by Wendy Errington
Thin Ice by Pearl Andrews-Horrigan

MA Theatre and Performance is a one year postgraduate taught course with a strong industry focus. The course offers you the opportunity to develop and hone your skills as an independent creative practitioner, and support you in the transition of moving those skills out of the classroom and into the professional world.
