The reign of 35mm slides lasted between the mid 60s, precipitated by cheap travel package holidays, and reasonably priced film and development, and the mid-90s before the rise of digital imagery took over. Millions of moments captured in 2-inch square frames. And what happened to those slides? Many were boxed up and placed in storage. Forgotten and lost. Finding their way to car-boot sales or just thrown out.

That’s where Adam York-Gregory and Gillian Jane Lees came in as conservators of the discarded memory. For them it is a hobby, a collection, and somewhat of a responsibility. They are archivists by default. Having a collection bordering on 5,000 slides form hundreds of different collections, each one a portal into a past and an image resurrected every time it is illuminated. They would, given the opportunity, share them all with you, but for the sake of brevity and trees, we embarked upon a curatorial process…

  • Access Information - Cinema

    Seat size

    Seats in the Cinema are 45cm (172/3“) wide and 46cm (18“) deep, are 40cm (152/3“) from the floor, and have 12cm (42/3“) between seats.

    Armrests

    Seats in the Cinema have armrests that do not fold away, and cannot be completely removed.

    Legroom

    Seats in the cinema have 30cm (112/3”) of legroom in front of seats, with additional legroom on row A and seats B1-B4 and B11-B14.
