Crossing the Tees Book Festival Returns

Crossing the Tees Book Festival returns from 11 – 29 June, bringing an exciting programme of author talks, live performances, workshops and creative events to audiences across the Tees Valley.

This year’s festival features bestselling authors and unique events spanning gripping historical fiction and feminist thrillers to interactive murder mysteries and publishing workshops, Crossing the Tees offers something for readers and audiences of all interests.

Festival highlights include appearances from Jo Murray, whose new book Dissection of a Murder has been picked up by Apple TV for the second season of Presumed Innocent, bestselling historical fiction author Ben Kane and journalist and local historian Brian Groom. Audiences can also enjoy innovative live events including a one-woman comedy show and even a murder mystery!

Crossing the Tees is committed to making arts and culture accessible across the region, with events taking place in libraries and venues throughout the Tees Valley.

A spokesperson for the festival said: “Crossing the Tees is much more than a book festival, it is a celebration of creativity, conversation and community. We are proud to bring together audiences from across the Tees Valley to experience inspiring cultural events right on their doorstep.”

Supported by Arts Council England, the festival is brought to audiences by the library services of Stockton, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Darlington and Redcar & Cleveland.
