I didn’t know poetry performance could be this powerful until I saw This Kind of Black. Reece Williams’ show about growing up in 90s Moss Side blends raw emotion, humor, and stunning visuals to explore race, class, and trauma. The music was amazing and really brought the story to life. Now, I’m excited to discover more poetry shows, it’s sparked a new passion!

Our Refugee Week Celebration was a true reflection of the diverse and wonderful community in Stockton. The whole day felt like a joyous coming together of so many traditions and cultures. The performances were inspiring, the food was delicious and the variety of stalls and craft activities made sure there was something for everyone. The event’s theme of ‘Community as a Superpower’ was the perfect tag line for the day.

I absolutely loved Robyn Hood! The show’s playful storytelling and original live music created such a magical atmosphere. Watching Robyn, a brave little girl, stand up for her special green space was both inspiring and heart-warming. The audience participation made it even more fun and engaging for kids and adults alike. It was a wonderful, fresh take on a classic tale that celebrates community, adventure, and what it means to be a true hero.

In July, we can’t wait to rock out with Livewire, the ultimate AC/DC tribute show, celebrate everything Stockton Pride, and enjoy the always hilarious Catch 22 Comedy Club. We look forward to welcoming you to ARC soon, come explore something new and be part of our vibrant community!
