Phenomenal People, a celebration event of women in today’s society takes place this Friday 17 and Saturday 18 October and is part of a wider national festival masterminded by Fuel Theatre and Kings College London. The tour will be visiting just a few selected art centres across the country including Stockton.
ARC’s indoor space will be transformed into a breath-taking garden with real grass and a pond to form a tranquil place to experience various activities all inspired by females.
The event includes dancing, comedy, short stories, informal discussions and ten minute performances by actors including Kathryn Beaumont, one of ARC’s own associate artists.
Commenting on the project, Deborah Bull, Director of Cultural Partnerships at King’s College London said: “Our academics have worked closely with the creative team to help them interrogate what it means to identify inspiring women and shape the digital garden. The partnerships we have developed between King’s and three award-winning creative producers, demonstrate the powerful impact of these collaborations, both for the public and the participants.”
Tickets are just £2 from ARC and anyone can drop in at any point over the two day event by producing their ticket on entry.
If you know any inspirational women then bring them along to join in the celebrations at ARC!
