The line up for Stockton’s Infinite Folk festival has now been confirmed, with Megson, The Jar Family and Amelia Coburn amongst the top entertainers.
Infinite Folk is a day long festival based at ARC, which will take place on Saturday 17 September from 4pm, and will play host to some big name names in folk, acoustic, roots and lo-fi music.
Three times nominated in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and double winners of the Spiral Earth Awards, Teesside duo Megson will be delivering their brand of up-tempo folk as the main headliners.
Also confirmed are The Little Mirrors and The Mile Roses – a British folk trio with an Americana edge who are gaining an excellent reputation on the current folk circuit.
A string of talented local folk musicians will also be performing in ARC’s intimate No 60 café space from 4pm. Catch acoustic sets from Ian Smith and Philip Donegan, James Kruman, James Leonard Hewitson and James Gray Robson & The Lovely Burn.
There’s a treat for foodie fans as No 60 will be serving a delicious ‘cider and sausages’ menu, which includes an array of locally sourced sausages with flavours such as pork and jalapeno and pork and black pudding. There will be an impressive selection of twelve English ciders available too.
Keeping with the folk music theme, tickets are also on sale for the Infinite Folk Ceilidh, led by the Blind Stag band. The ceilidh will take place on the same day from 5pm to 8pm in ARC’s theatre and is open to all the family. Tickets for the ceilidh are included in the ticket price for Infinite Folk, but they can also be bought separately for £5 each, or a family ticket for four people costs £15.
The main performers will take to the stage from 5pm and tickets are priced at £15 advance and £17.50 on the day.
