ARC Stockton Arts Centre and The National Literacy Trust have proudly partnered to create a dedicated children’s reading space called Our Little Library. This vibrant new space is a place where young minds and families can explore the joy of reading together. This collaboration is part of our combined commitment to improving literacy levels throughout Stockton and its surrounding areas by making books and storytelling more accessible to families and children of all backgrounds.  This new children’s library blends creativity with literacy, offering a colourful and inspiring environment filled with a wide range of books for all ages and reading levels. It also serves as a hub for storytelling sessions designed to ignite imagination and foster a lifelong love of reading.

Through this collaboration, ARC and The National Literacy Trust aim to break down literacy barriers and ensure every child can experience and enjoy the power of books. That’s’ why we are proud to pledge our support to the National Year of Reading.

A young boy in a grey t-shirt with an ice cream sundae print sits in a bright reading area. He’s smiling and resting one hand on top of his head as he looks at something off-camera. Behind him is a wooden bookshelf full of colourful children’s books, with wicker baskets on the bottom shelves and a potted plant on top.
