Soundcheck – here for the music. Every Soundcheck features a carefully curated line-up of artists ready to make their mark, who are subject to change – tickets are booked for the night, not a specific artist.

Seating: Standing

Immerse yourself in original live music from the region’s most exciting up-and-coming artists. Soundcheck showcases the best emerging talent from Tees Valley and the North East, giving you the chance to discover your new favourite artist. In this edition of Soundcheck we have 4 of the best up-and-coming Alt Rock artists from the North East.

Hailing proudly from the industrial heartland of Teesside, Dossers will hit the ARC stage with their raw, unapologetic grunge-punk sound. Having performed on the BBC Introducing stage at Waves headlined by Miles Kane and festivals including Twisterella and Stockton Calling, the band are carving out their place in punk-rock history with their electrifying performances and unapologetic attitude. Formed amidst the smokestacks and steel of their hometown, expect blistering riffs, thunderous rhythms and lyrics that cut straight to the bone.

Fuelled by the grit and resilience of their working-class roots, Dossers embody the spirit of rebellion and defiance. But beneath the surface of their raucous sound lies a deeper message – a rallying cry for solidarity and a reminder that even in the face of adversity, there is power in unity. So, strap in, turn up the volume, and join the revolution – because Dossers are here to stay.

Northern Hospitality have emerged as one of the North East’s most exciting and acclaimed live acts. This charismatic 4-piece are poised to take the nation by storm following a standout debut at Kendal Calling, and having shared stages with Pete Doherty, Kaiser Chiefs, Feeder and Tom Meighan. Experience the band’s riotous fusion of punk energy, anthemic choruses, and heavy, hook-laden guitars live.

Stockton’s own cinematic surf rockers Risco are a dynamic 3-piece band whose sound is as bold as it is unique. Having recently performed at Brighton’s The Great Escape Festival, the band are making waves with their catchy riffs, raw energy and honest lyrics. Rooted in our working-class town, Risco’s music champions the voices often left unheard, and we are here to listen.

Alt-rock trio, Rose Malus will be opening the show with their energetic indie sound. Expect to hear their catchy new release ‘Abruptly Uninspired’ and fresh sounds from the band. No strangers to the local scene, Rose Malus are building a firm following having shared the stage with George Bailey and performed at venues across the North East including Newcastle’s Little Buildings and The Forum Darlington.
