Dynamic Pricing
ARC’s policy is to set ticket prices based on demand, like budget airlines, which means we set a price when the event goes on sale and then sometimes put the price up or down depending on how the show is selling. Usually, the price will increase as we get closer to the event, so it is advantageous to book in advance, although sometimes we will put special offers on and reduce the price. Our website will always show the current ticket price.
ARC’s theatre and dance performances are priced on a Pay What You Decide basis, which means you don’t have to pay until after you have seen a show!
We want to encourage more people to come and see shows at ARC, more often. Pay What You Decide not only allows you to pay what you can afford, rather than a fixed ticket price, but also removes the financial risk of buying a ticket for a show in advance without knowing whether you are going to enjoy it or not.
Tickets are available to book in advance as usual, but there is no obligation for you to pay until after you have seen the show. You can then decide on a price which you think is suitable based on your experience, which means if you haven’t enjoyed it at all, you don’t have to pay anything.
All money collected will help ARC pay the artists who have performed, and we therefore hope you will give generously.
Please ensure you have arrived and collected your tickets 15 minutes before the show starts in order to secure your seats. At the end of the show, you can decide what to pay, either by cash on the door or by card at the Box Office.

Legend (PG) plus Introduction to the film
A young man must prevent a demon from bringing eternal night to the world in this fantasy adventure. While the film has a fairy-tale feel, scary scenes and moments of violence may be too intense for younger children.
The screening is in collaboration with Beacon Films and will have some adjustments to make it more comfortable for audiences who may be autistic, have learning disabilities and/or access requirements. Anyone is welcome to attend, so long as you are respectful towards audiences with a range of access requirements, including people who may need to make a bit of noise or movement during a film.
The film will have a pre-recorded introduction by Beacon Films programmer, Phil Coghill, who will tell us a bit about the history of the film before the screening.
During this Relaxed Screening:
- The lighting will be up a bit
- The sound will be turned down a bit
- There will be no ads or trailers
- There will be a pre-recorded introduction to the film of about 20 minutes.
- There is a chill-out space available if you need to take a break
- You are able to make noise or movement during the screening if you need to
- The screening will not be full of people – there will be plenty of space in the cinema
- There will be friendly staff or volunteers on hand to help with anything you might need
- The film will be screened with descriptive subtitles
- The screening is Pay What You Decide and Carers and personal assistants can get a free ticket
Please note that for this screening:
- Due to sensory sensitivities of some of our guests we do not recommend the screening for children under the age of 2 years old
- Doors to the screening will open at 1.40pm, the introduction to the film will start at 2pm.

Violence
There are scenes of moderate violence, including fist fights, sword fights and stabbings with unicorn horns, which occur in a fantasy setting.
Threat and horror
There are scenes throughout in which characters are in danger, including from fantasy creatures. Younger children may find the appearance of the demon, who looks like the Devil, somewhat frightening. There is a protracted sequence of threat in which the demon character holds a fairly queen captive and forces her to become his bride.
Language
Language is mild and includes uses of ‘damn’.
Injury detail
There is limited sight of blood and injury, such as when a goblin is seen with blood around a wound on his head. Bones are seen in a monster’s kitchen, suggesting people are being eaten there.
Alcohol and tobacco
Characters drink wine.

Seats in the Cinema are 45cm (172/3“) wide and 46cm (18“) deep, are 40cm (152/3“) from the floor, and have 12cm (42/3“) between seats.
Armrests
Seats in the Cinema have armrests that do not fold away, and cannot be completely removed.
Legroom
Seats in the cinema have 30cm (112/3”) of legroom in front of seats, with additional legroom on row A and seats B1-B4 and B11-B14.
