Six more Stockton businesses have lent their support to a campaign run by ARC, Stockton Arts Centre, aiming to provide every five year old child in Stockton with a free theatre ticket after hearing about the campaign at Stockton MET networking event.
The businesses supporting the campaign are One Of A Kind Marketing, Wellington Square Shopping Centre, Additional Lengths, Stockton and Billingham Life, The Hampton by Hilton and Hi-Fi Sounds who all heard about the campaign at the business networking event organised by Stockton BID.
ARC’s Every Child Campaign manager Vanda Capaldi said: “The Theatre Trip for Every Child campaign launched in 2017 and has so far attracted a lot of support from businesses and individuals. Thanks to the MET event we’ve been able to tell even more businesses about the campaign and gain their support in meeting our ambitious targets”.
The donations from the six businesses will ensure that dozens more children will have the opportunity to attend the theatre for free, and for many of them it will be their very first experience of the theatre. The money raised through the campaign is used to provide free theatre tickets for local schools to bring their pupils to the theatre at ARC.
The businesses join a list of organisations who’ve already supported the campaign from Thirteen Housing to IT support company Tutis3. Donations from all these companies will provide local five year olds with the opportunity to attend a theatre show at ARC in Stockton.
Stockton BID manager Jason Maxwell said: “This is brilliant success for ARC and for our MET event. It really shows the capacity that the event has to connect businesses in ways that benefit not just the town centre business community but Stockton communities as a whole.”
Individuals can donate to the scheme by calling ARC box office on 01642 525199 and businesses that would like to become corporate supporters can email [email protected] for further information.
Stockton MET runs monthly at the Hampton by Hilton in Stockton and is open to Stockton businesses.
