Dynamic Pricing
ARC’s policy is to set ticket prices based on demand, like budget airlines, which means we set a price when the event goes on sale and then sometimes put the price up or down depending on how the show is selling. Usually, the price will increase as we get closer to the event, so it is advantageous to book in advance, although sometimes we will put special offers on and reduce the price. Our website will always show the current ticket price.
ARC’s theatre and dance performances are priced on a Pay What You Decide basis, which means you don’t have to pay until after you have seen a show!
We want to encourage more people to come and see shows at ARC, more often. Pay What You Decide not only allows you to pay what you can afford, rather than a fixed ticket price, but also removes the financial risk of buying a ticket for a show in advance without knowing whether you are going to enjoy it or not.
Tickets are available to book in advance as usual, but there is no obligation for you to pay until after you have seen the show. You can then decide on a price which you think is suitable based on your experience, which means if you haven’t enjoyed it at all, you don’t have to pay anything.
All money collected will help ARC pay the artists who have performed, and we therefore hope you will give generously.
Please ensure you have arrived and collected your tickets 15 minutes before the show starts in order to secure your seats. At the end of the show, you can decide what to pay, either by cash on the door or by card at the Box Office.
The Home Roadshow is a hopeful, joyful, interactive performance for residents, their families and staff touring into Care Homes this Autumn.
The Home Roadshow takes a light-hearted look at the Care Home, celebrating what it is to live and work in a care setting. It’s music, dance and comedy… with a little bit of seriousness and a big bit of fun.
This show is created by an award-winning theatre writer, Kit Green, who wanted to create something fun, thought-provoking and something that’s going to get everyone in your care home singing, smiling and hopefully talking about for a long time afterwards. There is a cast of 4 professional actors who entertain and also listen and make the performance special for each location. It takes the form of a visit from a team working for a rival care home chain who are (not-so-secretly) trying to recruit residents to come and live in one of their homes.
How does it work?
The Home Roadshow will come to your care home at a time that suits you. We can perform in any space – a common room, lounge, garden… All we need from you is access to the space from 30 minutes before the show and a plug socket to set up.
The show lasts about 30 minutes and care homes in the Tees Valley can book a place for this to tour to their home for free.
Who is it for?
The Home Roadshow is for care home residents of all abilities and needs and their carers and staff. There’s something for everyone!
When are we touring? From Monday 16 September to Friday 4 October 2024 – speak to Lynne Lawson, Creative Learning Coordinator at ARC on 01642 525183 or email [email protected] to book your performance.
