Teesside’s comedy fans have another big treat coming up, with one of TV’s hottest prospects Rob Beckett today confirming a second date at ARC by huge public demand.
With Rob’s gig on Saturday 14 May now sold out, an extra date has been added on Monday 16 May.
Tickets for the extra date are now on sale, with the news coming just days after millions of comedy fans saw Beckett enjoy a winning gig on Channel 4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown last weekend.
The lovable Londoner has built a devoted fanbase since his first gig six years ago, racking up a string of top TV credits including BBC1’s Live at the Apollo, BBC2’s Mock the Week and Channel 4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats along the way.
Now, Rob is heading to Stockton with his brand new show Mouth of the South, where he’ll be tackling ‘big issues’ including Kit Kats and the merits of flatbread in his own relentlessly breezy style.
Graham Ramsay of promoters Ten Feet Tall, who worked alongside ARC to bring the show to town, said: “Rob stands out a mile as a comedy superstar in the making!
“He always comes over as a complete natural on TV, and it’s no wonder that tickets for his gigs have been going like hot cakes.
“We’re chuffed to bits to have bagged this extra date in Stockton – it’s a great chance to see him play a lovely intimate gig before he starts hitting the much bigger rooms – and it’s going to be a Monday night to remember, that’s for sure.”
EXTRA DATE: Rob Beckett: Mouth of the South Monday 16 May, 8pm Age: 16+ Tickets: £14 / £12 concs.
Tickets on sale now from ARC’s Box Office on 01642 525 199 or book online here.
