Dynamic Pricing
ARC’s policy is to set ticket prices based on demand, like budget airlines, which means we set a price when the event goes on sale and then sometimes put the price up or down depending on how the show is selling. Usually, the price will increase as we get closer to the event, so it is advantageous to book in advance, although sometimes we will put special offers on and reduce the price. Our website will always show the current ticket price.
ARC’s theatre and dance performances are priced on a Pay What You Decide basis, which means you don’t have to pay until after you have seen a show!
We want to encourage more people to come and see shows at ARC, more often. Pay What You Decide not only allows you to pay what you can afford, rather than a fixed ticket price, but also removes the financial risk of buying a ticket for a show in advance without knowing whether you are going to enjoy it or not.
Tickets are available to book in advance as usual, but there is no obligation for you to pay until after you have seen the show. You can then decide on a price which you think is suitable based on your experience, which means if you haven’t enjoyed it at all, you don’t have to pay anything.
All money collected will help ARC pay the artists who have performed, and we therefore hope you will give generously.
Please ensure you have arrived and collected your tickets 15 minutes before the show starts in order to secure your seats. At the end of the show, you can decide what to pay, either by cash on the door or by card at the Box Office.
Live captioning will be available in these sessions.
Join Vici Wreford-Sinnott, writer and performer of new show UNRULY, and leading figure in the UK Disability Arts Movement in a free writing workshop for Disabled Women.
As Vici has gotten older, she cares much less what people think of her – well, some of the time anyway. She feels most liberated in a writing room with other disabled women so why not share that feeling, come along, whatever your level of experience is, and release your inner rebel.
Supported through warm-up writing games to reduce the fear of the blank page, we will progress to writing tasks, then we’ll find a voice and eventually land on one piece we want to focus on for the session. You choose the form you want to express yourself in – monologue, prose, poetry, lyrics, whatever – let’s just get creative. In a warm, supportive space you can choose to share back if you want to, but if that’s not you, don’t worry, it’s not compulsory.
Vici said: ‘Writing my solo show UNRULY, and working with co-conspirators Bex Bowsher (director/dramaturg) and Beccy Owen (composer/live musician) has meant that I could really think about my life as a disabled woman, artist and activist in a supported, humorous and accessible way. It’s different for all of us, of course, that’s the beauty of it, but there is so much common ground that I just want to bring other people together to have a pinch of that magic. I look forward to writing with you.’
Cancellations:
We understand that circumstances change. If you are no longer able to attend please let us know to free up your place for another disabled artist.

Access Information
Live captioning will be available in these sessions.
Please complete your access requirements when booking and let us know if there are subjects you’d like us to avoid in conversation. We hope everyone will have an opportunity to contribute but please do note that it’s also fine to attend and just listen in if your access means taking part wouldn’t work for you. We have a mutual responsibility for the care of everyone attending and to be mindful that it is a one-off discussion using a solution-focused approach without a facility for ongoing support.
Definition – We use the term disabled in line with the social model of disability in an effort to house a fully inclusive umbrella. We acknowledge not everyone uses that model and for clarity Deaf people, neurodivergent people and people with chronic conditions are included and invited to these sessions.

Culture of the Sessions
The sessions are offered on the basis of mutual respect and anti-discrimination. Ableism, racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, gender-based discrimination, ageism and any other discrimination will not be tolerated. We are inviting people to let us know if there are areas of content they would specifically like to avoid and we would ask everyone to be mindful about not describing trauma. We ask everyone to be considerate of their ‘air-time’ and to keep comments concise enough for others to have opportunities to contribute.
