In the intimate setting of a potting shed, we meet our Gardener. She loves the smell of the flowers, the feel of the earth and watching her plants bloom. But along came a magpie who turns her potting shed upside down! Making friends is lots of fun, but can sometimes be tricky. Join our gardener and magpie on this playful and heart warming journey as they navigate the intricacies of friendship.

Featuring puppetry, plants and lots of pots, this forty minute adventure is designed to delight ages 2-6 and their grownups.

  • Access Information - Theatre

    Seat size

    In our theatre the seats are 38cm (15″) wide and 44.5cm (17½”) deep. The seats are 44cm (171/3”) from the floor, and have an 8cm (3”) gap between seats.

    Armrests

    Seats have armrests on either side of the seat which cannot be removed completely. Seats on rows A, C and D have armrests which can be folded away and slot between the seat backs. On all other rows armrests are fixed and cannot be folded or removed.

    Legroom

    There is 30cm (112/3“) of legroom in front of each seat, with additional legroom in rows D and L, and in Box 1 and Box 2.

    We offer a number of daytime family theatre performances and cinema screenings designed to make trips to ARC a more relaxed experience for learning disabled people, people with autism and people with sensory or neurological conditions

    Relaxed performances have a number of distinguishing features:

    • Lower volume levels
    • No foyer music
    • Consistent lighting with auditorium lights on throughout
    • There is a relaxed attitude to noise and moving around the auditorium
    • You can reserve extra seats if you need space to be comfortable
    • If you prefer not to queue please let us know when booking
    • We can provide a chill out space should you need a break.
