Halloween Spooktacular!

ARC will transform into a hub of Halloween fun on Fri 31 October, with a full day of family-friendly activities!

We have a packed programme of free creative sessions, story time sessions and trick-or-treat trials to capture the imagination of young guests and their families.

No need to book – drop in anytime between 10am and 3pm to take part in the activities!

To start the day we are screening Night at the Zoopocolypse, a new family adventure film where a wolf and a mountain lion join forces to save a zoo after a meteor unleashes a virus turning animals into zombies. Tickets for the film are priced from £6 per person. Catch the film at 10.15am and 12.15pm – click here to book now.

Away from the cinema, visitors can take part in a series of hands-on craft activities, including making monster stick puppets, decorating pumpkin shapes and sculpting Halloween hedgehogs from pine cones.

A spooky scavenger hunt will also guide families around ARC, with Halloween treats from Culture Kitchen as a prize for completing the trick-or-treat trial!

Our Little Library will host storytelling sessions throughout the day, while our boo-tiful face painting station will transform visitors (of all ages!) into witches, vampires and more.

Our friends from Drake the Bookshop will also be joining us with a series of spooky books and other Halloween goodies.

Family Arts Co-ordinator Judith Crompton said: “Our Family Fright Fest is more than just a spooktacular day – it’s a chance for local families to create memories, discover our spaces, and enjoy the creative side of Halloween.”

Our Halloween Spooktacular takes place on Friday 31st October from 10am to 3pm at ARC. Entry to all activities is free, with film tickets available for £7 per person.
