ARC’s policy is to set ticket prices based on demand, like budget airlines, which means we set a price when the event goes on sale and then sometimes put the price up or down depending on how the show is selling. Usually, the price will increase as we get closer to the event, so it is advantageous to book in advance, although sometimes we will put special offers on and reduce the price. Our website will always show the current ticket price.
ARC’s theatre and dance performances are priced on a Pay What You Decide basis, which means you don’t have to pay until after you have seen a show!
We want to encourage more people to come and see shows at ARC, more often. Pay What You Decide not only allows you to pay what you can afford, rather than a fixed ticket price, but also removes the financial risk of buying a ticket for a show in advance without knowing whether you are going to enjoy it or not.
Tickets are available to book in advance as usual, but there is no obligation for you to pay until after you have seen the show. You can then decide on a price which you think is suitable based on your experience, which means if you haven’t enjoyed it at all, you don’t have to pay anything.
All money collected will help ARC pay the artists who have performed, and we therefore hope you will give generously.
Please ensure you have arrived and collected your tickets 15 minutes before the show starts in order to secure your seats. At the end of the show, you can decide what to pay, either by cash on the door or by card at the Box Office.

In this edition of Soundcheck we have four of the best up-and-coming female artists from the North East.
Stockton born Sarah Johnsone and her band have crossed the country, delivering live performances with raucous peaks and piercing, intimate moments. They’ve earned support slots with English Teacher and Prima Queen, and festival appearances at Kendal Calling, Victorious and 110 Above. Sarah Johnsone is solidifying her place as one of the region’s most exciting acts – an opinion shared by BBC Music Introducing in the North East.

Prospect of Power are an alt-rock band combining dense shoegaze textures, dynamic songwriting and powerful live performances. Hand-picked by Sarah herself, the trio balance crushing guitars with melodic hooks and expansive arrangements.
Pen in hand, ribbon in hair, 20 year old singer-songwriter Isabel Maria has been shattering expectations since 2021. The self proclaimed ‘pensive popstar’ pairs contagious melodies and piano-driven production with ineffably personal lyricism, resulting in a sound championed by the likes of BBC Radio 1 and Rolling Stone Espanõl. Hailing from North East England, Isabel’s career had humble beginnings with secret songs written on her grandad’s old Casio. Fast forward ten years, and now she’s embellished her bookshelf with a North East Culture Award, an Alan Hull Award, and a Northern Writers Award, sharing her songs with hundreds of thousands of listeners and performing them across the UK, Spain, and the United States.
North-east based singer/songwriter, Anna Karila, blends lyrical storytelling and bare-bones finger-picked guitar into an americana tinged landscapes. With her debut release ‘Sweet’, she secured her place in the folk/americana scene, solidified by her spot as a BBC Introducing artist.
Every Soundcheck features a carefully curated line-up of artists ready to make their mark, who are subject to change – tickets are booked for the night, not a specific artist.

Access Information - The Point
Seat size
In The Point, seats in rows A-GG are 36cm (14“) wide and 39cm (151/3“) deep. They are 41cm from the floor (16″) wide and 44.5cm (171/2”) deep. The seats are 44cm (171/3”) from the floor, and have a 10cm (4”) gap between seats.
Seats in rows H and W are stools, are 36cm (14“) wide and 40cm (152/3“) deep. They are 76cm (30“) from the floor, and have a 25cm (93/4”) gap between seats. The stools also feature a footrest 42cm (161/2”) from the floor.
Seats in rows K-V and Box 1are 42cm (161/2 “) wide and 45cm (172/3“) deep, 47 cm (181/2“) from the floor, and have 6cm (21/3“) gap between seats.
Seats in Box 2 are 36cm (14“) wide and 39cm (151/3“) deep, 41 cm (16“) from the floor, and have 10cm (4“) gap between seats. These are loose removable chairs.
Armrests
Seats in The Point do not have armrests.
Legroom
Seat in rows A-GG have 20cm (73/4“) of legroom in front of each seat, with restricted legroom in rows A-D.
Seats in rows H and W are stools and have 35cm (14“) of legroom.
Seats in rows K-V have 20cm (73/4“) of legroom in front of each seat, with restricted legroom in the aisle seats. Seats in row S also have a vertical backrest.
Seats in Box 2 have 50cm (192/3”) of legroom in front of the seats.
