We can’t wait to share what’s coming up, with a programme full of experiences to bring people together and spark imaginations. From heart-stopping theatre and original music to family fun and something a little different, there’s plenty to look forward to and we hope you’ll find something that takes your fancy.

Here for… Music

We have got an incredible line-up of live music to keep your toes tapping this season!

To start of the year we have The Dolly Show! Recognised as the world’s most authentic Dolly Parton tribute with a pitch-perfect Tennessee accent and the sparkle that made Dolly a global icon, she captures the look, heart and soul of the Queen of Country.

It is time to dig out your baggy clothes and get ready to have your melons twisted as Manchester Anthems return to ARC after their show-stopping set last year. Bringing their stunning tribute to the Madchester era, expect the iconic sounds of The Stone Roses, Oasis and The Smiths.

ARC favourite Jeremy McMurray and the Pocket Jazz Orchestra returns in February for an evening of relaxing jazz with as they present various jazz standards, Latin and foot-tapping swing music. While their Big Band Night in April will host more than twenty outstanding musicians and singers promising a fabulous celebration of the golden age.

Troubadour, Ringmaster, Bard, Master of Ceremonies, Sage – Captain of the Lost Waves brings a melting pot of alternative folk, progressive, classical work, baroque chamber orchestral pop and ambient soundscapes to The Point!

We can’t wait to welcome back Voices of Virtue! This soul experience is backed by a live band and shaped by powerful harmonies, the gospel choir journeys from Motown-inspired soul to contemporary praise and anthems you’ll be humming for days.

We end our Spring music season with indie-folk singer-songwriter Josienne Clarke singing the songs of Sandy Denny. Blessed with a voice of beauty and clarity, her myriad talents translate effortlessly to the live space in performances that are all her own.

Here for… Theatre

From being the first to experience brand-new performances to coming-of-age comedy, we are thrilled to welcome an incredible mix of bold and brilliant theatre this season.

Taking place on the last Thursday of every month, Rough Cut Revolutions gives local artists the stage to share their boldest work, straight from the rehearsal room to a live audience. Be the first to experience brand-new performances and creative experiments from the region’s most exciting talent.

From Northern School of Art alumni, HAPPY LAD is a raw, funny and deeply personal new show by TYYGRR exploring masculinity, mental health, class and what it means to be a young man today blending performance, rap and spoken word.

Our friends at Northern School of Art also return with Evolution and InterAct Festival with original plays exploring our changing world through new writing, multimedia and bold theatrical collaboration across departments at the north’s highest-rated specialist art school.

It’s A Wonderful Us blends the warm, chaotic humour of the double act with the magic of Frank Capra’s beloved film. Performed and co-created with a cast of learning-disabled and non-learning-disabled artists. It is a celebration of the fact that every life is wonderful, and sometimes all we need is a little nudge to remember why.

Queer coming-of-age comedy Hasbian sees Beth’s 00s teenage diary brought to life in vivid hilarity, with animated projections inspired by teen magazines, set to a soundtrack of y2k pop classics and indie angst anthems.

The majority of our theatre shows are Pay What You Decide, meaning you don’t pay upfront. You book your tickets in advance as normal, but decide what to pay after you’ve seen the show, based on your experience.

As a Wimbledon line judge for 20 years, comedian Pauline Eyre is ready to spill the Pimms on tennis gossip from the fragrant royal box to the musty locker room, and why line judges are OUT!

Our regular favourites are back too. Running for over twenty years, our Catch 22 Comedy Club always offers a proper good night out. Regularly featuring the best comedians on the circuit and a buzzing atmosphere, our shows guarantee laughs and memorable moments

Beat the Gong returns in March as brave comedians take to the stage and have just a few minutes to win over the crowd. If the audience isn’t feeling it, GONG! They are off. Fast, furious, and absolutely unpredictable, it is the most exciting format in live comedy.

Here for… Family

Placing literacy at the heart of our family programme, we are very excited to tell you about two-family favourites coming to ARC this Spring!

Based on Judith Kerr’s much-loved classic picture book, Mog the Forgetful Cat is filled with playful puppetry, music, laughter and plenty of Mog’s trademark mishaps. She may be a little forgetful, but Mog has a very big heart and when one of her everyday adventures takes an unexpected turn, she discovers that being different can be something rather special.

Direct from the West End, The Tiger Who Came to Tea sees a doorbell ring as Sophie and her mummy are sitting down to tea. Who could it possibly be? What they certainly don’t expect to see at the door is a big, stripy tiger! Packed with oodles of magic, sing-a-long songs and clumsy chaos.
