ARC is committed to developing opportunities for people to engage with creative learning activity that is relevant to them, contemporary in content and high quality. We demonstrate this commitment by working with our participants and the local community to deliver a creative learning programme which is responsive to need and delivered by professional artists and practitioners.
Our programme is primarily aimed at supporting young people and older people and focusses on creating opportunities which support young people to develop as artists and entrepreneurs and works to ensure the older community of Stockton can remain active and socially connected through participation in creative learning.
The creative learning programme offers opportunities to explore activities including music, dance, arts, film, drama, devising, and singing; ARC’s creative learning programme also focusses on developing dance activity across the Tees Valley for young people and practitioners through its role as a Dance Hub.

Throughout the creative learning programme we ensure that participants have the opportunity to work with professional artists and practitioners and we recognise the value of developing practitioners in the region. Our programme has inbuilt professional development opportunities to ensure that the community can benefit from high quality creative learning activity.
ARC’s creative learning programme is supported by and continues to grow through the support of funding bodies which include to date NIACE, Dance City, Creative Partnerships, NET Park, Esmee Fairbairn, Stockton Borough Council, European Regional Development Fund, Paul Hamlyn, Northern Rock.
