Background

ARC is seeking to identify an artist to make a joint application to the BBC PAF Fellowship scheme who, if we are successful, we would be able to support, develop and nurture through the scheme.  We are looking for someone who is ambitious, willing to take on a challenge and looking for ways to increase their profile and take the next step in their careers.

Please note: In order to be eligible you cannot have been supported through any of our previous artist development schemes or have been employed by us in any capacity.

The PAF Fellowship scheme aims to support individuals through the early stages of their performing arts career; helping them to establish themselves in the professional world through bespoke placements within existing organisations. The PAF Fellowship will lead to an exciting new creative network of artists in the performing arts sector, supported, developed and ready to launch their professional careers.  Covering dance, theatre, music and anything in-between, through this schemes the BBC hope to identify the next generation of performing arts talent, whether they are directors, choreographers, composers, playwrights, dancers, actors, musicians, producers or any other creative working in the sector.

There is more information about the scheme here.  Please make sure you have read this before applying.

How to apply
If you would like to apply with us you need to send us an expression of interest which should be no more than one A4 page.  You need to tell us about the project you would like to undertake and how you think being supported by ARC would benefit you.  The fellowship will be tailored to the successful applicant but will be for between 6 and 12 months and will offer mentoring, access to equipment, space and audiences.  It must result in a public facing creative outcome (e.g. performance or sharing) so please include information on what you envisage this being.

Next steps
Once the deadline for applications has passed, we will review all of the expressions of interest and shortlist the most suitable.  These candidates will be invited to interview and one will be selected.  The selected candidate will then work with us to submit a joint application to the BBC PAF Fellowship Scheme.

Please note: We will be unable to offer a fellowship if this joint application is not successful.

Deadline for expressions of interest: Mon 23 June 10am

Interviews will be held week beginning Mon 7 July
