North Yorkshire Calligraphers newest exhibition, Colours of My Life, is now on display in the Gallery and showcases the talents and personal stories of the collective group of artists. The exhibition will be on display until Saturday 30 September.
North Yorkshire Calligraphers are an enthusiastic group, dedicated to the lettering arts. Formed over twenty five years ago, they have been spreading the word about calligraphy throughout Teesside and North Yorkshire, and have exhibited work in galleries and museums and also in Ripon and Durham Cathedrals.
They make modern calligraphy that uses colour as well as traditional techniques and their work is always rich in expression. Colours of My Life reflects this diversity in modern lettering.
