ARC’s creative learning programme is committed to supporting older people to remain active, socially connected and feeling well through a responsive creative learning programme referred to as our Silver Programme.

The Silver Programme is specifically for older people (aged 50+) and offers a robust daytime programme of activity which ranges from Ukulele, singing, tai chi and creative writing, delivered by professional practitioners and artists.  We have undertaken substantial consultation with the community and continually talk with our participants to support the development of activities and to ensure the programme is accessible and relevant.

Cultural Volunteers

The silver programme has also received support from NIACE Cultural Learning Innovation Fund which has enabled ARC to expand the silver programme, support practitioner development, and increase access to the creative learning through two support schemes Cultural Volunteers and the Buddy Scheme.

The Cultural Volunteers scheme engages volunteers to support participants to attend and participate in creative learning activity and the Buddy Scheme unites existing silver participants with potential participants; offering a friendly face to start the session.
