Tracey Burns was born in the North East of England, where she grew up on a farm and still lives by the coast.
She spent many years studying, travelling and trying all sorts of jobs, whilst maintaining an interest in making jewellery. She has driven a bus, worked in factories and been an Au Pair in America, before she settled down to her teaching career. Tracey taught Textiles for 14 years, but continued to study silversmithing at night School and has become proficiently skilled now to realise her career dreams of becoming a professional Jewellery Designer/Maker.
Tracey loves working with silver, copper and brass, soldering, etching, stamping, riveting, setting stones and experimenting with mixing all these techniques. She likes developing her skill set and trying new techniques.
All Tracey’s jewellery is designed and made just by Tracey, so it is all unique. Although she sometimes makes a few of the same type of design, they can never be identical.
Tracey is currently developing a range of animals and birds.
