Dynamic Pricing
ARC’s policy is to set ticket prices based on demand, like budget airlines, which means we set a price when the event goes on sale and then sometimes put the price up or down depending on how the show is selling. Usually, the price will increase as we get closer to the event, so it is advantageous to book in advance, although sometimes we will put special offers on and reduce the price. Our website will always show the current ticket price.
ARC’s theatre and dance performances are priced on a Pay What You Decide basis, which means you don’t have to pay until after you have seen a show!
We want to encourage more people to come and see shows at ARC, more often. Pay What You Decide not only allows you to pay what you can afford, rather than a fixed ticket price, but also removes the financial risk of buying a ticket for a show in advance without knowing whether you are going to enjoy it or not.
Tickets are available to book in advance as usual, but there is no obligation for you to pay until after you have seen the show. You can then decide on a price which you think is suitable based on your experience, which means if you haven’t enjoyed it at all, you don’t have to pay anything.
All money collected will help ARC pay the artists who have performed, and we therefore hope you will give generously.
Please ensure you have arrived and collected your tickets 15 minutes before the show starts in order to secure your seats. At the end of the show, you can decide what to pay, either by cash on the door or by card at the Box Office.
Roisin Crowley Linton is creating a brand new cabaret called Not Yours and she wants YOU to join in
We truly believe that burlesque is for everybody, in every body and to prove it, we are inviting you to join us to create a brand new burlesque troupe for all experience levels. Whether you danced when you were younger, and life got in the way, or if you’re always the first one up on the dancefloor, or if the idea of being the centre of attention terrifies and excites you in equal measure – we are ready to welcome you to join our troupe. Build up your skills & confidence and take part in a show alongside professional performers.
You can come on your own or bring a friend, either way you will leave the experience having found a new community. For an example of work Roisin has done with a similar project please see this BBC video:
What will you do in the sessions?
- Increase self-confidence
- Develop dance and movement skills
- Find a community of like-minded people
- Learn a burlesque routine and perform alongside a professional cast in a show at ARC, Stockton!
Who are we looking for?
- Someone looking to try a new skill, or build up existing ones
- Someone looking to reclaim their body, sexuality and self-confidence
- Someone who has lived experience of sexual violence, harassment or abuse at any point in their life.
- Someone who feels ready to use movement as a tool to empower themselves, this is NOT therapy but we’re all on a journey towards healing.
- These workshops are LGBTQIA+ and gender inclusive, body neutral and a safe space for those who have experienced sexual violence at some point in their life.
What do we mean by sexual violence?
We know this term can feel big, scary and difficult to identify with for some people. We define this as any kind of unwanted sexual behaviours, touch or harassment – you are in charge of your own identification, and narrative of your experience.
You do not have to disclose any of your experiences to join this troupe and we will not question, or ask you to justify your experience in any way.
Our own experiences will not be a point of discussion during our rehearsal process.
We are pushing back on the idea of being a “victim” and we will not be censored.

A bit about Not Yours
Not Yours is a show about the journey to recovery and everything that comes after experiencing sexual violence. Part theatre, part drag, part burlesque, part riot, part party – a celebration of perverting the idea of a victim being small, weak and cowering.
This is not really a show about sexual violence or abuse, it is a show about recovery, and recovery DOES exist, even when it feels like you have no idea how to get there. Wherever you are, at some point you have to get home. We would be tackling a heavy subject with joy, laughter, playfulness and rage.
Tickets for Not Yours will be Pay What You Decide.
