The Tees Valley International Film Festival proudly presents the premiere of Please Come Home. This film is the result of our ground-breaking TVIFF Scholarship programme, in which an emerging filmmaker is granted £3000 to make a short film. The award is made even more special by TVIFF enlisting the services of a famous actor to star in the film, which is then shot in Teesside.
The 2023 Scholarship was won by Charlotte Fenton and Middlesbrough’s own Mark Benton stars in the film which deals with themes of grief, loss and family. The screening of the film also includes a short “Making Of” documentary and a live interview and Q&A with those involved in the making of this unique and ground-breaking production.
