After a terrifying storm destroys their home, a speedy sloth named Laura and her kooky family are forced to move to the big city with nothing but their prized family recipe book – and a rusted old food truck. The family’s delicious food soon catches the eye of a quick witted cheetah named Dotti who will stop at nothing to revive her failing fast food business, Zoom Fuel.

    We offer a number of daytime family theatre performances and cinema screenings designed to make trips to ARC a more relaxed experience for learning disabled people, people with autism and people with sensory or neurological conditions

    Relaxed performances have a number of distinguishing features:

    • Lower volume levels
    • No foyer music
    • Consistent lighting with auditorium lights on throughout
    • There is a relaxed attitude to noise and moving around the auditorium
    • You can reserve extra seats if you need space to be comfortable
    • If you prefer not to queue please let us know when booking
    • We can provide a chill out space should you need a break.

    Violence

    Violence is comic and very mild. Animals infected with ‘the zoomies’ have food thrown or shot at them, which is implied to cure them when eaten. In another scene, fast-food workers are knocked over by falling machinery and hit with burger ingredients during a kitchen mishap.

    Threat and Horror

    A group of taste testers contract ‘the zoomies’ from experimental fast food, causing them to act erratically, chase people, and try to force-feed others unhealthy snacks. In other scenes, a family seek shelter during a dangerous storm, and a villain schemes against a sloth and her family. Very mild scary scenes are balanced with humour and reassuring outcomes.

    Language

    Very mild bad language (‘damn’) is present.

    Sex

    A brief kiss is shared between two parents.

    Rude Humour

    There are jokes about ‘eating poop’ and a sloth’s toilet habits.

    Theme

    A family are devastated to find their home has been destroyed in a storm. In other scenes, a character with memory issues expresses fear of forgetting her family, while a young sloth is reassured about her place in the family.
