The Youth Dance Company: Tees Valley are a group of young talented dancers aged 14 -19 who train together to study contemporary dance technique and choreograph work for performance.
Youth Dance Company: Tees Valley landed in September 2012, giving dancers aged 14 – 19 the opportunity to perform and get access to training from North-East based choreographer Debbie Waistell. The company offers talented young people from all backgrounds a springboard for dance development and a pathway onto further training opportunities.
The focus of youth dance work is to develop dance performance skills and improve all-round creative and technical ability. With particular focus on contemporary dance technique the company will be working to perform their choreographed pieces in a variety of settings.
