I’m excited about the Try It at ARC: Halloween Screen Printing workshop in October. I went to a Try It at ARC workshop last autumn and I really loved it. The workshops are a fantastic opportunity to try your hand at a skill you maybe wouldn’t have opportunity to try otherwise, and there’s a really friendly atmosphere in the room. Plus, there’s no art skills necessary as there’s templates and designs to use, so it’s perfect for a complete beginner like me!

I’m excited to see Chris Thorpe’s Status. I saw a preview at Darlington’s Jabberwocky Market last year, but that was without any set or projection so I’m really excited to see the completed work.

I can’t wait to see Vincent Gambini’s brilliant blend of theatre and magic again in The Chore of Enchantment. I made a point of catching it at last summer’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe after a sneak peek when Vincent spent some time developing the show at ARC earlier in the year, and really enjoyed it. It looks at the performance and deception involved in both magic and politics, and the deadpan humour in it is right up my street. The sleight-of-hand magic is pretty mesmerising too!
