Irish eyes will be smiling in the building next week when No 60 turns green just in time for St. Patrick’s Day.
Irish Supper at No 60 will be taking place from 7pm in the venue’s café bar, and staff will be serving up a delicious set three course Irish meal, followed by entertainment from a local musician who will be singing some traditional songs from the Emerald Isle.
Irish fayre will come in the form of a fresh seafood chowder to start, a Guinness and braised beef stew with colcannon for main, and a trio of tempting chocolate desserts to finish in the form of chocolate Guinness cake, double chocolate mousse and Baileys filled truffles.
If that wasn’t enough, Irish Whiskey, plenty of Guinness and some themed cocktails will be flowing from the bar.
Catering Manager, Rob Sanders said: “Last year we hosted a brilliant St. Patrick’s Day event which sold out quickly. This year, we have changed the set up slightly and are hosting a sit down three course meal with some great entertainment from a local singer who will be performing some traditional Irish music, and of course, we’ll be lighting up the outside of the venue in the tri colours again. We’re looking forward to another great St Patrick’ Day celebration and are advising anyone who wants to join us for a bit of craic to book ahead of Friday to avoid disappointment!” Tickets are priced at £17 and pre booking is essential.
Also taking place at ARC to co-incide with St. Patrick’s Day celebrations is A Concert presentation of Pa McCoy’s on Thursday 16 March at 8pm, which is priced as Pay What You Decide.
Wildcats of Kilkenny frontman Mike McGrother will be following on from his incredible Searching For Our Jimmy event which took place at SIRF 2016.
He will be performing the second half of the story about his great grandfather’s journey to Teesside from Ireland, and how his experience was one of many Irish immigrants who helped to shape a unique community in Teesside the early 20th century.
Mike returns again on Saturday 18 March at 6pm for The Wildcats of Kilkenny Leaping Leprechauns gig! But this one is not for beer swilling adults, it is a unique family friendly take on a Wildcats’ gig and is open to all ages. Tickets cost £5 per person and £15 for a family of four.
Tickets for both events can be booked via ARC’s Box Office.
