Seating: Unallocated - Cabaret

Threading together the past, present, future and alternative realities like a surreal mash-up of Charles Dickens’ classic Christmas tale and Lewis Carrol’s perennial favourite, Wunderland is a brand new, multi-media arts event curated by award-winning singer-songwriter Amelia Coburn. With a gaggle of invited guests and oddness on the periphery, much like Amelia’s music, it’s a glimpse into the shadows at the corner of your eye. Music, comedy, visual arts and unique performances blend into one to fashion an alternative feast for all.

AMELIA COBURN

No stranger to ARC, TVCA Artist of The Year, Amelia has had an incredible year in 2024, releasing her critically acclaimed debut studio album “Between the Moon and the Milkman” which was produced by Bill Ryder-Jones (Founding member of The Coral and now a much-sought after-solo artist and producer) hit the UK charts and stayed on the official Folk Charts for four months. With a successful solo tour, international dates under her belt and a full band now in tow to bring the songs to stunning life, fans have witnessed a next-level transformation in her live shows this year and this night will prove no different. Her songs are filled with mysteries and shadows, perfect for the dark of Winter. Keen to keep moving forward and not present the same show twice Amelia has curated a “wunderbox” of delights for those who crave something from the darker edges of entertainment.

SCOTT TURNBULL

Fellow TVCA Artist of The Year, and much like Amelia, Scott has developed a unique world of his own with absurdist, surreal imagery and humour threaded through his visual and performance work. His debut show – “Where Do All The Dead Pigeons Go?” – immediately established Scott as a supreme storyteller in full control of the audience’s emotional journey from side-splitting laughter to sudden floods of tears. Ever enigmatic and wrong-footing expectation it’s anyone’s guess what Scott will bring to the proceedings but we guarantee you’ll love it.

BOB FISCHER

The closest thing Teesside has to a Timelord, Bob has been a face on the music and entertainment scene for years but has never settled into one role. From hosting BBC Introducing on BBC Tees to writing for national music and culture magazines alongside hosting live events steeped in the world of Hauntology, Bob will take us back to through his inky blue memories of Christmas 1984 and in particular the TV show The Box of Delights which remains an evocative and charming piece of work for children of all ages.
