Dynamic Pricing
ARC’s policy is to set ticket prices based on demand, like budget airlines, which means we set a price when the event goes on sale and then sometimes put the price up or down depending on how the show is selling. Usually, the price will increase as we get closer to the event, so it is advantageous to book in advance, although sometimes we will put special offers on and reduce the price. Our website will always show the current ticket price.
ARC’s theatre and dance performances are priced on a Pay What You Decide basis, which means you don’t have to pay until after you have seen a show!
We want to encourage more people to come and see shows at ARC, more often. Pay What You Decide not only allows you to pay what you can afford, rather than a fixed ticket price, but also removes the financial risk of buying a ticket for a show in advance without knowing whether you are going to enjoy it or not.
Tickets are available to book in advance as usual, but there is no obligation for you to pay until after you have seen the show. You can then decide on a price which you think is suitable based on your experience, which means if you haven’t enjoyed it at all, you don’t have to pay anything.
All money collected will help ARC pay the artists who have performed, and we therefore hope you will give generously.
Please ensure you have arrived and collected your tickets 15 minutes before the show starts in order to secure your seats. At the end of the show, you can decide what to pay, either by cash on the door or by card at the Box Office.

Your favourite keep fit class is now back at ARC, with sessions held in our theatre to maintain social distancing. Or if you’d prefer, you can still access the class from home via Zoom.
In this session Leslie will guide you through a series of easy to follow exercises to give you a whole body workout, and is a great way to stay in shape if you’re getting out less because of COVID-19.
The session is designed specifically for people of any fitness level and is a gentle and enjoyable exercise class focusing on safe ways to tone and stretch all muscle groups with emphasis on balance, coordination and posture to make every day activities safer and less stressful. The session provides a boost to your endorphin and serotonin levels. Research has shown these naturally produced chemicals can boost your mood, elevate your concentration and promote the growth of new brain cells, preventing age related decline.
Tutor Leslie Smith has been teaching with the Sport Development Active Health Team, GP Referral Programme and here at ARC since 2004. She is an institution here, and is excited to continue to train her existing class members and to welcome all new participants this term.
Give your physical and mental wellbeing a weekly boost with this session.
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing that you can move easily in, and supportive training shoes.
Keep Active develops skills in, and improves, the following areas:
Hand to eye coordination
Brain training
Posture
Range of motion
Breathing
If you’re accessing the session via Zoom, booking closes at 1pm the day before the session is due to take place. Session details will be emailed to you once booking has closed. You can prepare for the session by making sure you have the latest version of the Zoom Client software downloaded (you can download it here). If you need anything else for the session like a chair or some tinned food to use as improvised weights we’ll let you know in your confirmation email.
