It may be raining outside but with the longer, sunny days and lighter evenings comes a brand-new Summer season at ARC, bursting with music, comedy and theatre.

From high-energy nights of live music to breath-taking, heartfelt theatre, this season is all about celebrating creativity, sharing unforgettable moments, and bringing people together.

Music

We’re thrilled to announce multi-award winning Jazz guitarist Martin Taylor will be bringing his tour Standards to ARC. Renowned internationally for his warm stage presence, dazzling fingerstyle technique and unforgettable interpretations.

You can also enjoy our regular Jazz nights with Jeremy McMurray and the Pocket Jazz Orchestra performing classics from Duke Ellington to Frank Sinatra.

To rock the socks off you, we have the powerhouse seven-piece tribute to Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band with Forever Springsteen.

Comedy

Looking beyond the Summer slightly we are delighted to announce that Teesside’s very own Patrick Monahan is bringing his new stand up show The Good, The Pat & The Ugly to ARC. Covering topics from life, love and mishaps with flat pack furniture, marathons and almost being scammed, we can’t wait to welcome him back!

And of course, our regular favourites are back too! Catch 22 Comedy Club delivers top-tier line-ups every month, while Beat the Gong offers wild, unpredictable fun as new comedians take the mic and try to survive the crowd.

Theatre

The highly acclaimed one-woman play The Light House written, directed and starring Alys Williamsis real-life love story which takes audiences on a ‘messy, beautiful’ journey through romance, crisis & hope.

Conked Out follows Conkers, the brand new janitor of Conkacola and his brand new behavioural readjustment intelligence android and neurotherapist also known as B.R.I.A.N as they embark on a quest of self betterment. Developed at École Phillipe Gaulier and The Northern School of Art.

They say it takes a village… so where the f**k are the villagers?!? Mother? see’s a  verbatim play from Mam’s and primary caregivers in Teesside. The highs, the lows and the stuff no-one talks about…

Taking part during Refugee Week, The Table is an authentically written play on what does it take to become a refugee, migrant or asylum seeker today. Starring a community cast, the piece was developed from real-interviews with first-generation economic and war migrants.

Co-created with our community, Let’s Love weaves three love stories together as part of a beautiful celebration in the heart of Stockton showing the town’s strength in its diversity.

We’re also pleased to announce the next set of Rough Cut Revolutions Scratch Nights. Teaming up with Curious Arts, Tees Woman Poets and many more, the nights showcase Tees Valley artists on stage, sharing their newest, boldest and most daring work.

Sing your heart out with the one and only Chesney Hawkes, get the party started with Vicky Jackson’s tribute to P!ink, sing and dance the night away with the feel good vibes of Hope & Social and join legendary Brit Pop singer/songwriter John Power for an intimate evening as he talks about his fascinating career in music.

For theatre goers, experience the raw and powerful portrayal of the modern young male experience living in a small town in Northern Rascals contemporary dance, theatre and spoken word production of Sunny Side.

Families can enjoy the playful and heart warming Along Came A Magpie from Scarlet Oak Theatre. Featuring puppetry, plants and lots of pots in this adventure designed to delight ages 2-6 and their grownups.

Get connected with the interactive comedy game show Wifi Wars. Hosted by comedian Steve McNeil, the entire audience competes in fast pace and fun games and quizzes through the magic technology of your mobile phone.
