We’re very excited to announce that three new Producers have joined our team.

Allison Birt, Andy Newcombe, and Lauren Pattison, have been settling into their new roles since June. We sat down with them to learn a little bit about them, and hear how they’ve been enjoying their first few weeks at ARC.

“I’m Allison, I’m from Newcastle and before I started at ARC I’d been working freelance as a theatre maker and producer for a year since graduating. I am the co-founder of Tell U Wot Theatre, where I direct and produce feminist and queer theatre for audiences across London and the North East. I’ve also produced community events with Poet In The City, and I’ve recently been accepted on to the 2023 Edinburgh Fringe Emerging Producer Programme. My first two weeks at ARC have been great, I’m enjoying getting to know the team and artists in the local area and can’t wait to get stuck into more projects.”

“I am a producer, artist and musician and have been based in the North East since 2019. I have been the creative producer for Bordello Collective for over seven years and have helped to create and produce multiple outdoor theatre shows, artist interventions, theatrical happenings and exhibitions.  I have had a great first two weeks at ARC and am really excited to meet with more artists and help to produce some amazing work!”

“My name is Lauren Pattison and am a North East based writer/performer – and now producer! My background is within comedy, where I have had a ten-year career writing, performing and touring stand up both nationally and internationally. I am looking forward to being part of a fantastic team at ARC, producing and championing some fantastic work.”
