Calling all young people to a free Fun Palaces workshop!

We’re looking for young people who love all things creative to get involved in a Fun Palaces workshop so that they can help create something incredible in their community!

If you, or someone you know, such as your child, relative, or friend, is aged between 11-21 and interested in arts, being creative and putting on events, then we’d like to invite them to a FREE relaxed and friendly workshop next Tuesday so they can find out how they can get involved in making a Fun Palace later in the year, and you are welcome to join them!

A Fun Palace is a free, local event that’s all about arts and science and celebrates each unique community through a range of fun family events, and we’ve got lots to celebrate in Stockton!

Last year there were 142 Fun Palaces across the country, with 2,079 people involved in making them and over 50,000 people took part in some Fun Palace fun!

People gathered to make sciences, learn, play games and have FUN – this workshop will let people know how to get involved. You don’t need to be an expert in anything to make a Fun Palace – you just need to want to make something happen (however tiny) with and for your friends and local community – we need you!

“Loved meeting so many other creatives within our area and realising that we can do whatever we want – the world’s our oyster!”- 2015 workshop participant

Want to find out more? If you are interested, or if you’ve got some ideas or some questions about how it works, then come along to see us this coming Tuesday 28 June between 5pm-7.30pm. Parents, family members and friends can come along too, but you will need to book a place for yourself and add on anyone you would like to bring at  https://fpstockton2016.eventbrite.co.uk (it doesn’t take a minute, and you can book for as many people as you’d like to bring).

Where: ARC Stockton Arts Centre, Dovecot Street, Stockton-on-Tees, TS18 1LL. The workshop is free, but please book your place as spaces are limited!
