Magical adventures this Christmas

Looking for the perfect family treat for little ones this Christmas? Join us at ARC for The Snow Queen: A Woodland Adventure, a heart-warming and interactive family show packed with music, puppetry, dancing and festive fun.

Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s classic winter tale, this enchanting production invites children and their grown-ups to become part of the adventure. With original sing-along songs, lively audience participation and a cast of woodland characters, it’s a magical Christmas experience designed especially for children aged 3 – 8 years.

It’s Christmas Eve in Bluebell Wood, and excitement is in the air. Gerda, the littlest mouse, is hosting a cozy sleepover with her best friend Kai. But something’s not quite right… A sudden chill sweeps through the trees. The mysterious Snow Queen has cast an unhappiness spell over the forest, and Kai vanishes in a flurry of snow.

The audience join Gerda on her quest to find him. Along the way, she meets a mischievous squirrel, a clever crow and the babbling Brook, and must face the Snow Queen – a powerful snow leopard whose icy spell has frozen Bluebell Wood. Can Gerda break the spell and save her friend in time for Christmas?

The Snow Queen: A Woodland Adventure is a joyful celebration of friendship, kindness and bravery. Through magical snowy forests, sparkling starlit skies and enchanting woodland worlds, young audiences are encouraged to discover their own courage while developing an appreciation for the natural world.

Running at just 50 minutes with no interval, The Snow Queen: A Woodland Adventure is the perfect introduction to theatre for younger children and a wonderful festive outing for the whole family.

Join Gerda on her magical quest this Christmas and discover a world filled with friendship, adventure and festive cheer.
