Reeling in the cinema hits

As the summer sun peeks gingerly around the corner ARC cinema is being loaded with crammed as many glitzy, heart-pumping, hilarious and thrilling films in can hold for June and July.

The rich and flamboyant steal the limelight in The Great Gatsby, Geoffrey Rush is a struggling actor returning to Sydney to muscle in on his mother’s will in The Eye of The Storm, the ever-mighty Shakespeare makes it to the big screen once again with Much Ado About Nothing, and Michael Douglas resurrects the ostentatious stage and TV star Liberace in Behind The Candelabra.

Meanwhile anticipation is building for acclaimed British director Shane Meadows documentary, The Stone Roses: Made of Stone, and Mud starring Matthew McConaughey is being hailed as this generation’s Stand By Me.
