The Tees Valley branch of Parkinson’s UK, run by a volunteer committee, meets at ARC once a month (suspended at present due to COVID-19). The sessions are for people with Parkinson’s and their carers, and you can just turn up on the day. There is no regular cost involved (although you may wish to become a member of the national organisation – visit the Parkinson’s UK website to find out more).

The sessions cover advice; sign posting; games; speakers; tea and coffee; and Q&As. They also include branch business such as the fundamental work of fundraising, and donations to support both the Tees Valley Branch on a local level and national research for Parkinson’s UK.

If you want to know more about getting involved, you can find look up the local branch contacts on the Parkinson’s UK website.
