Legendary Teesside band Cattle & Cane have been announced as the headliners for The Georgian Theatre’s stage at this year’s Stockton Calling, which takes place Saturday 15 April from 2pm.
The band release their brand new album Mirrors this April, which ties in nicely with their headline appearance at the annual music festival and will be a fantastic chance to hear their newest tracks performed live.
Hailing from Thornaby and led by siblings Joe and Helen Hammill, Cattle & Cane have the ability to warm even the coldest of hearts with their perfect, soaring harmonies.
Helen Hammill, who plays keyboard and vocals said: “We love playing on Teesside! We’re so lucky to have such an amazing fanbase and being able to headline a local festival like Stockton Calling means a lot to us.”
“We can’t wait for people to hear our new album and we’re really excited about getting out there and playing songs from it live” said Joe.
Last year the band toured abroad for the first time with shows in Germany, Malta and Belgium, while a sold-out 1,000 capacity hometown show at The Middlesbrough Empire ensured a triumphant finale to 2016. With extensive support from the likes of BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 6 Music and Amazing Radio, Cattle & Cane have been heavily championed by the BBC Introducing team and previously performed on their stages at T In The Park and BBC Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park.
Also performing at this year’s Stockton Calling is CAST who will headline ARC‘s stage. The 90’s band, who had a hit single called Walk Away, have recently recorded their sixth studio album, and Glaswegian rising stars White will headline The Storytellers.
